#Gabon July 2021: Procedure to come to #Gabon as part of # Covid-19 measures

We hope you are doing well! As part of our travel activities in #Gabon, we present to you the measures applicable to date to come to Gabon, both professionally and in terms of tourism.


The health situation in Gabon in July 2021


Due to the barrier measures taken in Gabon since the start of the epidemic, the development of the coronavirus is under control. As of July 21, the situation was as follows: 26 new positive cases were recorded out of 5,930 tests carried out, i.e. a positivity rate of 0.4%, 15 people were hospitalized including 06 in intensive care for respiratory distress, 45 new healings and 00 new ones death.


Your visa application :


Given this controlled situation, all travelers wishing to come to Gabon can now apply for a visa by following a new procedure.

You must make a request for an exemption to obtain your visa by proceeding as follows:

1- Register on the e-visa platform to formulate your visa request by clicking on the following link: https://evisa.dgdi.ga/

2- You must submit a request for exemption to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by providing your number to communicate during your e-visa request. The procedure for obtaining the exemption from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs can be presented by a local correspondent, Gabon Voyage Afrique Online can take charge of the procedure from the ministry. Exemptions are granted in particular for tourist or professional trips.

3- The exemption is sent to the e-visa platform which will issue the visa.

Comment : It is advisable to initiate the visa application several weeks in advance, given the exemption procedure.


Your arrival at Libreville airport


To enter Gabon at Libreville airport, you will need to do the following:

  • Fill out the form before their arrival https://www.libreville-aeroport.com/covid-registration/

  • Present proof of a negative result of a PCR test for COVID-19 carried out no more than five days before the date of embarkation in the country of origin at a center approved by the health authorities of that country;

  • Undergo a PCR test for COVID-19 as soon as you disembark at an airport in Gabon;

  • If you have not been vaccinated (Gabonese, foreign residents, non-residents) from another country, you will be held in a 24-hour quarantine in one of the selected hotels (at your expense). Reservations must be made before departure on the site : https://voyageurs.assistcovid19.ga

  • Observations : If you have a covid-19 vaccination card you will be exempt from quarantine.

  • In the event of a positive result, you should make yourself available to the competent health authorities.

In a general way

  • You must wear a mask;

  • Have a normal body temperature;

  • You comply with the protocol of distance between passengers;

  • You submit and submit your baggage to the decontamination process in place at airports.

Your trips within Gabon:


During your stay in Gabon you will have to respect certain huts, depending on whether you are vaccinated or not:

  • If you are not vaccinated, you will be required to adhere to a nationwide curfew from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • For trips between greater Libreville and the interior of the country, you must be in possession of a pass issued by the Ministry of the Interior for the client who rent a car without a driver and an RT-PCR test negative not older than five days;

  • Finally, if you are vaccinated or have a negative RT-PCR test not older than 14 days, you will have access to bars and restaurants which are open until 8:30 p.m.
